San Remo

29-30 June 2015, Colin and Sabrina's first sail, well kind of, we had to motor 1/2 of the way as the winds were light and variable. It was still a very good trip.

Hello Sanremo (Colin's feet and Sabrina)

We arrived as Sanremo and were helped by Mike and Michelle and before long we were on Flying Fyn catching up - a great time was had by all!
Back with Flying Fyn
After a good night of catching up at Flying Fyn, Colin and Sabrina went for a walk about while I was updating the Blog. After Lunch we went out looking at the the Medieval part of town(just to the right of the mast in the picture above).  It is quite pretty with narrow cobble alleys all the way up to the church one can still see the old city walls and gates.

Swallows in the air (or as Colin call them birds of love?)

A bit of info on St Stfano's gate
After a walkabouts, we waited for the fishing trawler to come in with fresh fish (they did not arrive the day before), we were about to go eat out when they arrived, so we picked up 1kg and put them on the braai, plate and belly - no prisoners were taken!
Shrimp on the Braai (South African for BBQ)

On the Plate (and soon thereafter devoured!)
After a full belly and some good company with Mike and Michelle, this was our view..

On the Tuesday, we set of, unfortunately without Flying Fyn, they had some admin to take care of, we are planning on meeting up with them at La Spezia. Our destination for the day would be Ligure Finale..
